Casting actors for “On the way back“ (tentative title), a joint Italian and American feature film, based on real story that recalls a young woman’s life after boyfriend betrays her and she gets kicked out of family. Filmmaker states: “This film we are making will be pitched to Netflix and will be presented at the Taormina Film Fest. it’s part of a larger project that’s in development, and we’ve got loads going into it.”
In-person casting has been completed and we are now accepting online video submissions.
SYNOPSIS: A drama about young woman who escape despair and find love & success in New York. Rosalia meets a sweet and vain man. She falls in love with him. One day she sees him with another woman and baby. When this happens, she decides to commit suicide. And now she must overcome her pain and fears. Passing through lies, deceit and betrayal, she finds her way to be happy and to look him in the eyes after he turns her down.
DATE: shoots spring 2019 in NYC & Sicily (Dates are tentative and subject to change). No rehearsal would be necessary. Before the shoot, the director will explain and rehearse the scene several times to make sure every extras feel comfortable.
$300/day, plus travel, hotel lodging and meals provided.
